Description
This work pioneers an approach to QML that incorporates post-selection into its workflow. As a scarce resource tied directly to the number of reasonably available shots, I investigate a replacement strategy for utilized post-selection. Post-selection is introduced into the QML model by adding trainable controlled rotations onto post-selected ancillas, which allows for the partial post-selection of qubits without destroying entanglement. This approach effectively implements a diagonal operator 0 < D ≤ 1. A hyperparameter from previous results allows for the training of such a model and it distributes a limited amount of post-selection across the model.
